3 Simple & Effective Body Weight Exercises

In this video series with Amanda and Todd, we share three simple but extremely effective body weight exercises that target several different muscle groups and can be altered to fit almost any fitness level.

Let’s start with one of the most classic exercises: the plank. We start with the wall variation and follow a progression all the way the a single-leg plank.

Next, we look at the bridge exercise. We show you how to increase or decrease difficulty depending on your fitness level. We also point out what not to do to avoid injury and unnecessary stress on your back. Start with a wide-stance bridge and work your way up to the single-leg variation.

Finally, the step jack. This variation takes away the impact of the traditional jumping jack and adds in a balancing aspect. We share proper form for the step jack and the traditional jumping jack – this is a great move to get the body moving and the heart rate up!
