3 Lower Back Stretches for Pain Relief

The lower back is one the most common area of the body where adults experience pain and discomfort: “About 80 percent of adults experience low back pain at some point in their lifetimes. It is the most common cause of job-related disability and a leading contributor to missed work days” (NINDS). One of the reasons why back pain is so common is that it can start from a wide variety of causes, including: sports injury, accidents, obesity, poor posture, arthritis, sprained ligaments, and more (ACA Today).

Whatever the cause of your lower back pain, there are ways to help ease the discomfort in your own home.  Holistic approaches include using ice and heat packs to ease pain and tension, and performing daily stretches to restore flexibility and improve mobility.

In this video, Todd demonstrates three stretches to perform if you are experiencing lower back pain, or even to prevent the pain from starting. Perform each movement for 1-2 minutes to enjoy less lower back pain!
